The no.1 gluten-free cake brand now in a handy on-the-go bar format
MRS CRIMBLE’S, the pioneering gluten-free brand owned by Wessanen UK, has extended its choc macaroon range with the addition of a new single-serve, convenient snack bar; making on-the-go snacking more accessible for coeliac sufferers and those avoiding gluten.
A moist coconut cake drizzled and dipped in decadent choc, the new Big Choc Macaroon Bar delivers on taste, texture and convenience. Offering a little indulgence to all, the portable format is perfect for anyone looking to treat themselves to a snack on-the-move.
Bringing more choice and flexibility into the free-from sector, the indulgent snack bar (RRP £0.99 / 60g) will be available in Sainsbury’s and Tesco stores nationwide from February.
The Big Choc Macaroon Bar is the latest in a succession of innovations at Mrs Crimble’s and follows the launch of the Mini Choc Macaroon sharing tubs and the fully chocolate-covered Deeply Dippy Macaroon.
Rebecca Vercoe, Mrs Crimble’s Brand Controller at Wessanen UK, says:
“Mrs Crimble’s Choc Macaroons are loved all over the world and are available in a variety of formats though this is the first time we’ve changed the cake’s shape. We wanted to extend the eating occasions of the Choc Macaroon so more consumers can enjoy them on the move, which is why we developed the Choc Macaroon Bar.
“Food-to-go is growing in popularity and presents huge opportunities for snack brands to innovate and bring fresh thinking to the category. At Mrs Crimble’s we’re passionate about making free-from products more accessible and will continue to bring out exciting NPD that challenges misconceptions of gluten-free with truly tasty, wonderful treats.”
The increasingly popular Mrs Crimble’s Choc Macaroons are leading the category in free-from bakery and it has been calculated that one is eaten every second worldwide.
The number one gluten-free cake brand, Mrs Crimble’s creates liberating and life-affirmingly delicious baked treats that are suitable for all to enjoy. It was created over 30 years ago and is now one of the UK’s biggest cake brands.
